The top of the dress is very distinctive.
The bodice is fitted, and then a slightly darker band of fabric wraps and crosses at the front, creating a draped and structured effect just below the décolleté.
This crossed band forms almost a small knot at the center of the bust and wraps around the arms like short, fitted sleeves that leave the shoulders bare.
The dress has an extremely fitted silhouette from the bust to mid-thigh or knee, then flares out dramatically downwards, creating the classic "mermaid" shape.
The fitted part of the skirt features well-defined vertical seams, which help to slim the figure and give structure to the dress.
